It is a new year and all reports are that we may be seeing a turnabout in the industry and we can all look forward to a better year.
The region leaders are finalizing the Leadership and Training Conference being held in Jacksonville in March and I hope all chapters are making plans to participate. The input I have from my local chapter is that they got a lot of information from the region event last year and found it to be a great way to see what tools they need to lead their chapters and they got a good overview of how the Institute works and what is coming in the near future.
The new CSI website is still on track to be launched in February and the new interactive feature will be very useful for both members and the chapter activities.
The new Specifications Practice Group Teleconference programs will be launched in January joining the BIM and Sustainability groups. These are good forums to share and learn about the direction that the industry is going and add your own input to be a part of the process.
Please plan to visit your local chapter meetings and get the full benefit of membership.
