Kalwall® is a well-proven, high-performance, translucent fenestration system with energy-efficient performance that surpasses all other existing technologies. Either as part or all of the walls or roof of any building – or even as an entire, freestanding structure – Kalwall provides a more predictable, better quality, usable natural light with superior energy efficiency.

The company is recognized as the world leader in daylighting technology, energy conservation, the green movement and participation in LEED®-certified buildings. And the latest innovation, Kalwall+ Nanogel®, the most insulating, diffuse light-transmitting technology on the globe, offers thermal insulation and light transmission rates many times those of current technologies, as well as acoustic insulation.

Kalwall has been a producer of sustainable fenestration systems since long before the “green” philosophy became popular. Today, over 50 years later, the powerful advantages of specifying and insisting upon genuine Kalwall are clear.

    • Maximum Environmental Benefits
    • Proven Structural Integrity
    • Demanding Fire Code Compliance
    • Design and Aesthetic Flexibility
    • System Reliability and Integrity

The primary element of the Kalwall System is a flat or curved, structural composite sandwich panel. The panel is formed by permanently bonding specially formulated, fiberglass-reinforced translucent faces to a grid core of interlocked, structural aluminum/composite, thermally broken I-beams.

The panel’s natural, thermal properties deliver even greater energy performance by including translucent insulation during the manufacturing process and by specifying a fully thermally broken grid core. Panel U-factor options range from .29 to .05 (3.0 to .28 W/m2) by NFRC for the 2-3/4'' (70 mm) panels and optional 4”(100mm) panels.

Strategic partner, Structures Unlimited, Inc. takes Kalwall’s technology to a larger scale. Through the creation of a total composite system uniting Kalwall with pre-engineered aluminum box beams, clear span structures are achieved and entire translucent structures created. Structures Unlimited, Inc. is the only single-source manufacturer providing total responsibility from design through installation of structural skylights, skyroofs, pool enclosures and entire structures. Now you can accurately simulate the impact of daylighting, contemplate the results and meet LEED® requirements. Daylight Modeling takes the mystery and surprise out of predicting the impact of daylight on any building space. For more information please visit www.daylightmodeling.com
